Traditional economic theories recognize and focus only on two types of property, viz., public and private. But, there is a third dimension traditionally recognized and used by the rural society. Grassroots evidences show that CPRs have made significant contribution to rural mass and they are: providing physical products, generating income, promoting social cultural gains, and bringing environmental/ecological benefits.
