Paul Bowles is Professor of Economics and International Studies at the University of Northern British Columbia. He has published widely on both globalization and East Asian development.His most recent books are The Essential Guide to Critical Development Studies, 2nd edition, Routledge, 2022 (co-edited with Henry Veltmeyer) and Extractive Bargains: Natural Resources and the State-Society Nexus, Routledge, 2024 (coedited with Nathan Andrews).
