Introducing the Culture for Business series sponsored by Trompenaars-Hambden-Turner (THT) ? a series which assesses key business functions from a cross-cultural management perspective. All are highly accessible guides to key business subjects like strategic planning and scenarios, corporate culture and communications.
As business becomes more global and our workforces ever more diverse, the issue of culture has become perhaps the single most important issue for leaders and managers to tackle head on.Most work in this area tends to focus on knowledge of cultures. Business Across Cultures, however, is pioneering in its approach to knowledge for cultures. Trompenaars and Woolliams provide a new framework for dealing with the business implications of culture and provide a practical toolkit for managers and leaders by helping them develop a new mindset for working with and across cultures. There is an entirely different logic flowing through this book, one that breaks away from traditional Anglo-American thinking.Business Across Cultures is the keystone book in the Culture for Business series. It provides an overview of subjects handled in the other books of the series. Its particular aim is to provide executives with a cross cultural perspective on how companies meet the diverse needs of customers, investors and employees; to introduce the main ideas in business in a multicultural context; and to show how they all fit together.
