This study investigated the obstacles that a translator was faced with when translating Culture-Bound Terms in film subtitles and identified the suitable procedures that the translator used for the translation of such terms. The data of this research was the CBTs in the English version of the film "Scent of a Woman" and its Persian rendering in the subtitle. Amineh Adelnia (b. 1986, Iran) is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Isfahan. She received her M.A. in English Translation at Isfahan University, Iran following the completion of her B.A. in Translation Studies. She managed to publish and present some of her articles in international and national journals and conferences.
