Author do believe with further study, bismuth-based optical amplifier capable to replace currently deployed silica-based optical amplifier due to its outstanding performances.

Nizam Tamchek received a B.Sc. degree in 2001 from the University of Kanazawa,Isikawa Prefecture, Japan, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2004 and 2010, respectively, both in the field of fiber optics. Currently he is senior lecturer at Physic Depart., University Putra Malaysia.
