Julián Casanova is Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Zaragoza, Spain. He is the author of several books including Anarquismo y revolucion en la sociedad rural aragonesa, 1936-38 (Siglo XXI, Madrid, 1985) and La Iglesia de Franco (Temas de Hoy, Madrid, 2001).
