The present research proposal is a plea for the integration of the African story in the ELE class in Gabon. This plea is based on the hypothesis that the exploitation of the African story as a didactic tool in the ELE class could be used to develop, in addition to the intercultural approach, oral expression in the first cycle students. In fact, the current claim about the possible contribution of the African story in the teaching/learning of Spanish as a foreign language in Gabon has only crystallized around the scope of the intercultural approach.
