This work is relevant to the electromagnetic area. Two advanced optimization techniques have been developed and applied to solve problems in both antennas and space applications fields. In the former case a Genetic Algorithm (GA) has been used to optimize high-impedance surfaces aimed to improve antennas performance. Autorenporträt
Elisa Carrubba was born in May 1981. She got her Master Thesis Degree in Telecommunication Engineering in June 2006 at the University of Pisa. Afterwards, she started her PhD on applied electromagnetics. Her activities have dealt with study and development of advanced optimization techniques for antennas and space applications.
