All Portland cements tend to contain impurities of hexavalent chromium compounds due to the raw materials used or due to the additions, usually made during the process of cement production. All Portland cements tend to contain impurities of hexavalent chromium compounds due to the raw materials used or due to the additions, usually made during the process of cement production. During the past about three decades, numerous strategies for producing the Portland cement with low hexavalent chromium in wet condition have been devised by various researchers. All the information pertaining to this domain is proprietary in nature. The research domain under discussion has been reviewed excellently twice during the past decade. In European countries, US and Canada, due to stringent regulations prohibiting sale of cement containing more than 2 ppm of soluble chromium (VI), the reducing agents such as ferrous sulfate and stannous sulfate have been conventionally blended with cement for the past three decades. This monograph presents work done by earlier researcher in consolidated manner as a ready reckoner.
