The Song of Achilles A Novel

did not know a single thing about this book before i read it. very beautifully written. i could imagine achilles so well (since its from patroclus' perspective) and just did not want to stop reading. it got to a point where i was excited to go home after work to read lol. will reread this sometime :')

My first read left me speechless and it’s by far my favorite book now. Achilles’ story has always been so good and Madeline Miller is such a great author! The doomed Patrochilles is just *chef’s kiss*

Just wow. I finished this masterpiece in 2 days and it was phenomenal. I love the chemistry between Achilles and Patroclus and from the beginning of their story, I definitely wanted them to end up together. Also the setting is very magical and not oldschool or boring. Of course you need to be a fan of greek mythology, because if you are not, the book can be very hard reading. The story is very well written and nearly every chapter gave me great quotes to highlight. To be honest, I cried at the end and even when I know how it would end because I knew their story before, it was heartbreaking. Please read this book if you like greek mythology and a Achilles x Patroclus retelling. You wont get disappointed.

Dieses Buch ist einer meiner absoluten Lieblings Bücher die ich je gelesen habe so viele Emotionen verspürt als ich dieses Buch gelesen hatte und wollte erst gar nicht das es aufhört. Es hatte alles so gepasst wie es ist und es hat sich nicht angefühlt, als würde man es mehr so auf zwang schreiben. Ich konnte dieses Buch nicht weglegen es hatte meine ganze Aufmerksamkeit und es fühlte sich an als würde die Zeit verschwinden als ich die Zeilen des Buches las.

Das ist wirklich das einzige Buch was ich innerhalb von einem Tag flüssig lesen konnte. Ich liebs, lese es gerne nochmal! Richtig schön zu lesen, man kann wirklich einmal abtauchen.
