(aus dem Klappentext) Mit hohen Erwartungen habe ich "The Legacy" angefangen zu lesen, hatte ich doch nur Gutes gehört. Auch der Klappentext klingt vielversprechend. Das Buch hatte auch tolle Elemente eines richtigen Schmökers: ein altes Familienanwesen, Familiengeheimnisse, die Erzählweise aus zwei Perspektiven und auf zwei Zeitebenen, zwei völlig unterschiedliche Handlungsorte. Leider muss ich sagen, dass ich dennoch nach dem Lesen enttäuscht war. Die Charaktere sind mir fremd geblieben (auch waren sie mir nicht wirklich sympathisch) und die Schreibweise empfand ich als wenig fesselnd. Oft hält sich die Autorin mit Belanglosigkeiten auf, so dass die Spannung leider immer wieder verloren geht. Alles in allem ein nettes Buch, aber leider nicht das erwartete Highlight.
