Since the 1990s, the dynamics of genetic resource exchange worldwide has been marked by changes (Lopes, 2006). In a single volume, it brings together two important works on the genetic improvement of cultivated plants. The first, whose objective was to evaluate and characterize genetic resources from the Active Bank of Wheat Germplasm (BAGT) of the Agronomic Institute of Paraná (IAPAR), today IDR Paraná and the second Work, was to evaluate the morphological and agronomic characterization of seven promising accessions of sweet potato, relating the agronomic descriptors related to plant productivity to its production components. The experiment was conducted in the Regional Research Pole of the Agronomic Institute of Paraná (IAPAR), located in Ponta Grossa, Paraná. Seven sweet potato accessions from the germplasm bank belonging to IAPAR and a partnership with EMBRAPA Hortaliças were evaluated: IAPAR 29, EMBRAPA 1089, EMBRAPA 769, UEPG ANA CLÁUDIA, IAPAR 20, EMBRAPA 10 and IAPAR 23.
