The objectives of this study are to find the optimal placement, the sufficient stiffness, the adequate quantity, and the applicable quantity of buckling restrained braces (BRBs) into the 3D realistic RC building structural models to minimize the seismic story responses (drift) of the structure. This study is conducted by two software programs, ETABS and MATLAB. This study is performed on different models considering different ground accelerations.
