Nowadays innovation is seen as the key thing for keeping the leading position in the world markets. This study discussed the relationship between innovation and leadership as part of internal organisation, specifically, three leadership theories and intrinsic motivation, by using thematic analysis (Braun and Clarke, 2006) and systematic literature review (Tranfield, Denyer and Smart, 2003) methodology. 20 articles that were published between 2009 and 2014 have been analysed. As a result, seven prevalent themes are found out.

The author was born in 1988 in Bulgaria. She graduated from Kocaeli University English Language and Literature in 2011.She studied MSc International Management University of the West of England in the UK. She is still doing PhD in Management.She is Senior Lecturer at ISTANBUL Gelisim University.
