Merle Herr and his wife Amy have been married for thirty-one years and have five children and one grandchild. Merle resides in northwesternPennsylvania and is a member of an Anabaptist church, Meadville Mennonite Chapel. He founded AgSalt Processing and has served as its CEO since 1989. He co-founded Anabaptist Financial and served as its executive officer for twelve years. He currently leads business consultants,seminars, and workshops serving thousands of clients across the U.S. In addition, Merle is the co-founder of various nonprofits such as OpenHands (2009), Anabaptist Savings and Loans International (2018), and most recently, Anabaptist Brotherhood (2021). He has served on various boards, including chairman at Faith Builders Educational Programs.
