Gudret Isfandiyar Kelbaliyev was born in 1946 in the city of Nakhchivan of the Azerbaijan Republic. He graduated from the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute with a degree in mechanical engineering. He defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences with a degree in processes and apparatuses of chemical technology. He has the academic title of professor. Currently, he is the head of the Laboratory for Heat and Mass Transfer and Hydrodynamics of the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. In 2001, he was elected as a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

G. I. Kelbaliyev is a specialist in mathematical modeling and optimization of chemical technology processes.

He is the author of more than 250 articles, inventions, and books. His work is published in the journals Chemical Engineering Science, Journal of Displacement Science and Technology, Powder Technology, Colloid and Surface, Chemical Engineering Communications, Journal of Aerosol Science, Petroleum Science and Technology, Thermal Engineering, Theoretical Foundations of Chemical Engineering, and Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics.

Dilgam Babir Tagiyev was born in 1950 in the Kelbajar region of the Azerbaijan Republic. He graduated from the Baku State University with a specialization in petrochemistry. He is a specialist in the field of petrochemistry, a doctor of chemical sciences, professor, and full member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. Currently he works as a director of the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. He is the chairman of the Dissertation Council.

D.B. Tagiyev is the author of more than 400 articles, inventions, and books. His works are published in the magazines Studies in Surface Science and Catalysis (Elsevier), Petrochemistry, Chemistry, Theoretical Foundations of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, etc.

Sakit Rauf Rasulov was born in 1956 in the Agdash region of the Azerbaijan Republic. He graduated from the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry (now the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University [ASOIU]) and received the qualification of a chemical technologist. He is a specialist in the field of oil refining and transportation of hydrocarbon raw materials. He holds a doctorate in technical sciences and is a professor.

Currently he works as the head of the department of the ASOIU. He is the author of more than 250 articles, inventions, and books. The works belonging to him are published in the journals Theoretical Foundations of Chemical Engineering, Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics, Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, Oil and Industry, etc.
