'The argument is clearly expressed, very subtly structured and well- informed. One of the strengths of the book is that it avoids the dull simplicity of the rescue of Marxist Truth from the errors of postmodernity or, by contrast, the tendency to throw Marxism into the dustbin in a moment of postmodern exuberance.
