Nurullah Ard¿ç is an assistant professor of sociology at Istanbul ¿ehir University, Turkey. His research focuses on religion and politics in the Middle East, Ottoman-Turkish modernization, social theory, and globalization, using historical-comparative and discourse analysis methods.
