Autorenporträt
Very early in his adolescence, Kurtis became extremely interested in religion. He absorbed everything he could about most religions. Later he had a driving curiosity with science. He found biology and physiology his main areas of interest. Throughout his life other areas of science drew his attention to the very large and very small, such as cosmology, microbiology and quantum theories. Growing up in a military family, he was exposed to diverse regions and cultures in America and Europe, especially Germany, where he was born. Consequently, history also became a passion for him as well. In particular, the progression and development of different nations, and the lineage of bloodlines. He spent over forty years in the healthcare profession. Caring for people of all walks of life in various stages of life. He saw many different cultures and was exposed to many different beliefs, both religious and non-religious. He observed biology, the reality of life and death firsthand and very personal without editing or censorship. He witnessed how durable and yet fragile the human body is. That made an enormous impact on the knowledge he obtained. He listened to thousands of people tell their stories of life with unbiased attentiveness. His interests continue to involve different points of view from a variety of sources. Taking inspiration from a multitude of different viewpoints by noted scientists of the past and present, as well as philosophies from past and present scholars, both secular and pious. A friend of his once called him an atheist that believes in God. A contradiction that he humbly accepts.
