In this present book, the experimental attempts are made to enhance the solar still productivity by using different types of nano-materials with different weight fraction concentration and also by providing vacuum with integrating the still basin with an external condenser. The used nano-fluids are the suspended nano-sized solid particles of cuprous oxide and aluminum oxide in water. So, the effect of using nano-materials with different weight fraction concentrations from 0.02% to 0.2% in the base fluid was investigated. The function of integrating an external condenser to the modified basin still is to decrease the heat loss by convection from water to glass as the condenser acts as an additional and effective heat and mass sink. So, the effects of adding the external condenser to the modified still and providing vacuum inside it by operating the vacuum fan at different speeds from 90 rpm to 1350 rpm were also investigated. A fair agreement had been achieved between the experimental and theoretical results.
