This study was conducted at Hawassa University in the Southern Nation Nationalities Peoples Regional State (SNNPRS) of Ethiopia. The prime concern of this study was to explore an effective approach to address individual differences in learning while facilitating the acquisition of learning tasks. It examined the writing performances of experimental and control group students along with the accompanying perception of experimental group students, and English language instructors of the Hawassa University towards the use of technology in the teaching learning process which was referred to as the blended learning. The course was blended learning (BL) in developing students' writing skills. Blended learning is a hybrid of classroom and on-line learning that includes some of the conveniences of on-line courses accompanied by face-to-face learning and teaching activities. The course focused on basic writing skills, different kinds of sentences, and paragraphs and essay compositions. Eighty students from the School of Computer Science, Hawassa University, participated in the study.
