When Basil Oickle first opened Trot in Time Buggy Rides in 1996, he had no plans of writing children's books. Even so, as he worked with Cindy and his other horses, he would mentally bookmark stories of their adventures together. Finally, when he retired, he determined to sit down and write about them. But how? His vision didn't fully click until he finally found the magic of writing from Cindy's perspective. After that the words just flowed.
