The five volumes of the Waifs and Strays of Celtic Tradition are an important collection of tales, stories and legends from Argyll that were first published between 1889 and 1895. The first volume was edited by Lord Archibald Campbell, the son of the 8th Duke of Argyll, who was also the first president of the Comunn Gaidhealach.
