Camille Thomas, die gefeierte junge, belgisch-französische Cellistin, präsentiert auf ihrem ersten Album bei der Deutschen Grammophon eine Hommage an die französische Romantik. Zurecht wurde sie von Paris Match als "Nachwuchssolistin des Jahres 2016" ausgezeichnet.

Mit ihrem bezaubernden Charme, französischer Eleganz und der Zartheit und Ausdrucksstärke ihres Celloklangs, verzaubert sie den Hörer und entführt ihn in die romantische und tiefsinnige Musik von Saint-Saens und Offenbach. Aber ihr Cellospiel berührt nicht nur in den langsamen Werken wie Offenbachs berühmten "Les Larmes de Jacqueline" aus Les Harmonies des Bois. Ihre Interpretation des Cello Konzerts von Saint-Saens und der fast tänzerischen Suite ist mitreißend und begeistert.

Als herrliche Zugabe: Das Album beinhaltet auch noch zwei Stücke mit Gastauftritten des virtuosen Geigenstars Nemanja Radulovic und Star-Tenor Rolando Villazon.
