Die nach wie vor international populärste deutsche Rockband der Musikgeschichte hat von den 38 avisierten Ländern, in denen sie Abschiedskonzerte planen, gerade mal 23 abgedeckt. Zudem findet sie noch Zeit und Energie, ein ganz besonderes Live-Event in Angriff zu nehmen: ihre erste MTV-Unplugged-Show. Am 11. und 12. September 2013 gaben Klaus Meine (Gesang, Gitarre), Rudolf Schenker (Gitarre, Gesang), Matthias Jabs (Gitarre), Pawel Maciwoda (Bass) und James Kottak (Schlagzeug) zwei grandiose Akustik-Sets im Lycabettus- Theater von Athen. Doch nicht nur die eindrucksvolle Kulisse hat die Scorpions bewogen, für das in der Geschichte von MTV Unplugged allererste Konzert unter freiem Himmel nach Athen zu gehen. Neben brandneuen Scorpions Songs, wurden viele seltene Klassiker und die Hits live mit einem Orchester performt. Mit vor Ort waren die Special Guests Morten Harket, Johannes Strate & CÄTHE. Auf der deutschen Version befindet sich als besonderer Bonus ein Bonustrack mit Ina Müller!
