Auf "Corazones and Canciones" bündeln zwei mexikanisch-amerikanische Musikgrößen ihre Kräfte, um ein Album voller Herz und Fantasie zu schaffen. Marisol Hernández - La Marisoul - aus L.A. und das in San Antonio ansässige Tejano-Conjunto Los Texmaniacs schöpfen aus einem Repertoire an beliebten Canciones Rancheras und Boleros. "Alles auf dem Album wird mit Herz und Seele gemacht, weil wir diese Musik mit Leidenschaft und Liebe spielen", erklärt der Leiter der Texmaniacs, Max Baca. Marisol fügt hinzu: "Unsere Musik ist genauso amerikanisch wie mexikanisch - das ist eine der Besonderheiten, wenn man in den Vereinigten Staaten lebt."
