Alison Lurie is the author of ten novels, including Foreign Affairs, which was awarded a Pulitzer Prize. She has also published studies of fashion and architecture (The Language of Clothes and The Language of Houses), and two collections of essays on children's literature. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
