Charles Goforth is a director, actor, producer, and teacher in NYC. Off-Broadway directing credits includes The Flame Keeper by Amos Kamil (47th St Theater), Dutch Heart of Man by Robert Glaudini (The Public Theater), Race Religion Politics by Stephen Adly Guirgis (HERE Arts Center), and numerous productions and workshops with LAByrinth Theater Company, where he's a member and has helped to develop many new plays. Some favorite opportunities as an actor include Atmosphere of Memory with Ellen Burstyn (Bank Street Theater), UnderneathMyBed (Rattlestick Theater), LoveSick (Theater for a New Audience), the role of Cassius in Aquila's Julius Caesar, the roles of Chris in All My Sons, and Hornbeck in Inherit the Wind, both as Resident Professional Teaching Artist at Cornell University. Other teaching includes NYU-Tisch, Shenandoah Conservatory, a residency at Davidson College with the RSC, several acting studios in NYC, and private classes and coaching in NYC and LA. A Recipient of The Drama League Directing Fellowship, Goforth is a Member of Labyrinth Theater Company ('95), Actors' Equity, and SAG-AFTRA.
