Born in America to Ukrainian immigrants, Orest Stelmach spoke no English when beginning his education, and went on to graduate from Dartmouth College and the University of Chicago. He has worked a variety of jobs, from dishwasher and shelf stocker to English teacher in Japan and international investment portfolio manager. The Boy Who Glowed in the Dark is his third novel, following The Boy From Reactor 4 and The Boy Who Stole From the Dead. He lives in Simsbury, Connecticut.
