Marybeth Hicks is a nationally syndicated columnist, author, and motivational speaker. She is also editor-in-chief of Family Events, an e-newsletter which reaches hundreds of thousands of conservative readers every week. As a weekly cultural columnist for the Washington Times, her column runs on many online news sites including Townhall.com, Jewish World Review, and Catholic Exchange. Author of the book Bringing Up Geeks, she has been the keynote speaker for the Kids Risk Symposium, the National Catholic Education Association Conference, and the Midwest Catholic Family Conference, and she is a regular speaker at schools, churches, and community groups. In addition to writing and motivational speaking, she serves on the national advisory boards of both the Parents Television Council and EduGuide. She lives in East Lansing, Michigan, with her husband and four children.
