Parents' divorce is a trauma for the child. Everyone knows about it, and every responsible parent who has a ruptured relationship with their spouse worries and asks themselves questions: Is it worth the divorce at all, if it will hurt my child? How do I tell my child about the divorce? How do I build a relationship with my partner after a divorce so that my child doesn't get "spoiled"? The book "The Bridge of Divorce," written by several authors, including lawyers - specialists in family law, and psychologists, and most importantly - parents who have experience of their own divorce, answers these and many other questions. The authors of the audiobook combined both personal and professional experiences to create a comprehensive guide to communicating with your child in a divorce situation. The audiobook has eight chapters, each of which offers a detailed answer to the most pressing questions for children: "Why doesn't Daddy live with us anymore?", "Why did you and Daddy divorce?", "Does Daddy have another family?" and others. Each chapter is preceded by real dialogues with a child going through a divorce and a mother, one of the authors of the audiobook. Next, psychologists and lawyers comment on the most common problems parents face in divorce, giving advice on how to maintain a good relationship with your child and ex-spouse. In chapter nine, "How to Make a Divorce Situation the Least Painful and the Safest for the Child?" - the authors summarize their recommendations, offering a brief algorithm of actions for parents who want to make their divorce less traumatic for the child. The authors of audiobooks, based on their experience, take a clear position: do not try to save the frustrated marital relationship, continuing to live together "for the children" - practice shows that for children, it is worse. Trauma to the child when the parents separate is inevitable, but there are ways to help him or her survive this trauma with the least amount of loss.
