Recorded by among others Judy Garland, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Tears For Fears, Bruce Springsteen, Dolly Parton, Aaron Neville, Jerry Lee Lewis and Tony Sheridan featuring then-unknown band The Beatles as backing group it was made popular by Louis Armstrong in 1938. In sports its the anthem of among others Southampton FC, Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur and the Rhodesian Light Infantry used it as their regimental march. In Japan actress Kotono Mitsuishi performed a cover in 1995 and the it was used in Disneys TV series, Goof Troop.
