This is Cory Groovers first book. This book was written for her daughter and her students. She was in search of a book for a lesson on going to college and choosing a career for her students. After contacting the local librarians, she did not find what she needed, so Cory decided to write the book she was searching for. This book, What Will Cora Be When She Grows Up, is what was created. She then wrote another book to pair with this book called Jack Rabbit Goes to College. Both books give kids an opportunity to start thinking about what they might want to be when they grow up. She hopes that all young people find and follow their passion.

Cory Groover is a fourth grade teacher in a rural Indiana school. She loves teaching and making a positive influence in the lives of her students. Cory lives in the country with her husband, daughter, horses, dog, and cats. She loves the outdoors. Writing is not something that she had intended to do, but sometimes in life you feel drawn to do something. The ideas for this book and her other book, Jack Rabbit Goes to College, just started coming to her, and she began jotting down her thoughts.
