Autorenporträt
David F. Mendez is a 20 year U.S. Army SSG retiree who received his Masters in Communication Arts from the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.

David and his family came over to the United States, leaving everything they owned to start a new life and become part of the American dream in 1983. He fell in love with the written word at a very early age and since had been published in school newspapers from high school to college.

He has also been published in several magazines and literary journals but did not take on the task of fulfilling his dream in publishing this collection of short stories until after his tenure in the military and after receiving his formal education allowing him to re-discover his love for words and his own identity.

David is also a publisher of a regional lowrider magazine called Vajito, which covers the Chicano and Tejano Lowrider lifestyle and movement.
