Autorenporträt
Hi there! I'm glad you've paid me a visit. There's not much to tell about me, but some of it is pretty unusual. I was born and raised in Kyrgyzstan (most probably you have no idea where it is, but Google does). English is my second language, I'm a native Russian speaker. I work as a translator for Russian publishers translating books from English into Russian. I've translated books by Jerome K. Jerome, S. Maugham, Oscar Wilde, Kurt Vonnegut, Wilbur Smith, Irvine Welsh and the bestselling vampire book by Stephanie Meyer (the list is not comprehensive, of course). I've also translated poems by Sarah Teasdale which were recently published in Russia. I also write prose and poetry in Russian and English. You can read some of my English language writing for free here: http://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/sc I'm also an illustrator and graphic designer. You can see some of my work here http://www.shutterstock.com/cat.mhtml?gallery_id=632050 Well, the rest doesn't really matter, but if you have any questions, just shoot :-) NOTE to my American readers: There is such thing as British spelling and I do prefer that; so if you see an unusual spelling, it is not wrong, it's just different.
