Published Author Loxwood Press He has had considerable experience dealing with men and women through both ex-service organisations SSAFA and The Royal British Legion as a caseworker for the last 8 years.He has proved over many years to have a firm commitment to Ex-service and Children's PTSD issues and to promote the needs of the ex-service communities wherever they are located. He has worked on a number of RBL Special Needs Children's Projects between Britain and Germany over the last 6 years. He has promoted and highlighted disadvantaged ex-service members and their children's issues through the press and the media in Germany.He set up and ran a busy professional office for a total of 4yrs for the RBL in Hameln Germany. He has experience of working with the media and publicity and promotion of projects on charity issues. He has had considerable experience in working with a wide range of people who suffer from both personal and mental problems. He has a wide range of experience with dealing with other charitable agencies and medical staff. He has written professional reports on mental conditions and financial assessments and needs of clients. Last 6 months of full employment in Germany he had worked as an Hospital Reception/ Medical Administrator. As a well experienced and proven Welfare officer with both the Royal British Legion and S.S.A.F.A. for the last 8 years dealing with a wide range of clients problems. He undertook his professional training to become a Professional Counsellor to build up and complement his extended service as a welfare officer to become more effective in a Counsellor/welfare role. He is very experienced in dealing with a wide and varied range of agencies both verbally and by written communication. His Counselling remit was to cover personal tragedies from suicide to drug and alcohol abuse to break up of personal relationships. As a Counsellor he has assisted clients with dealing with the loss of children through illness (leukaemia) and cases of sudden death both though military service, heart attacks, Road Traffic Accidents and one case of murder. Up to the time that he started this counselling service there was no English Counselling service available in Germany for the ex-service and English communities based in Germany. This was a service allied to a support group based in Dortmund, which he also established. It was as a direct result of this service, that he established excellent relationships with a number of prominent German Psychologists and Mental health practitioners, which he still maintains today via the internet. He is at present in the process of establishing a support group for PTSD Sufferers and their carers in the Northwest based in Wigan. He wrote and published a book entitled "Trauma In the Family" about PTSD and its effects on Family members including Children, based on his own personal experiences of working with Traumatised parents and their children and their needs. Since returning to the UK, from March 2000 until 2001 he worked as a Child Care Officer with a Registered Child Care Company in Sussex, called Southern Care based in Worthing.He has worked for the last 8 years in the Youth justice system at different Youth offending teams across the UK in every role within the YOT service. Including Court officers and also parenting officers.. He has written and publishing two books Trauma in the Family: PTSD and Domestic Violence and TRAUMA IN THE FAMILY: A handbook for traumatized families
