Produktbeschreibung
Shelley famously observed long ago and far away that poetry is the language of the imagination. This authors experience with it has been that it is more the expression of the spontaneous celebration of being alive, far beyond just the joys of living. Over and above what is conceivable, the delicious agony and poignant ecstasy of the tangible here and now constitute a compelling impetus for poetical indulgent escapades. The turmoil of the soul itself, in the entirety of its manifold dimensions and levels of complexity, is the proper province of poetry. Showcased in this books pages are the unadulterated relics of the struggle of the authors soul to stay whole, afloat and above the corrosive vortex of the ruins of time. Bereft of elegance the verses may be, they are nonetheless the embodiment of the struggle of a soul in search of a justifiable and sustainable meaning for being. The collection includes every title committed into writing which could be salvaged from the ravages of aging. This dates as far back as 1961 when the author was the editor-in-chief of the high school magazine, The Cub Farmer. More titles were written but fell by the wayside. Thanks mostly to electronic storage with the advent of word processing technology, retrieval has mostly been facilitated. All of the titles have been posted at the online venue AllPoetry.com of which the author had been a member over the last thirty months or so. More than half of the titles were minted with the nom de plume byline Ace Lilacs. This was attendant to the venues limiting the author character string length to thirteen, truncating the full name to a rather awkward Constancio Su.

Autorenporträt
It all started in the desolate isolation of the evacuation camps of World War II Philippines, where the author was born. Thence, trudging barefoot on at times literally improvised and ad hoc pathways through the underbrush, his journey proceeded through thick and thin, to bear witness to the awesome magnificence of what the human mind is capable of conceiving and achieving. The gamut of wonders encompassed supersonic transport, particle accelerators, man's round-trip journey to the moon, instantaneous internet communications, and Skype technology video teleconferencing, to name a select few. Professionally retired and enjoying the 3rd decade of his third marriage, this author is a wannabe male chauvinist and a self-appointed charter member of the "vast right wing conspiracy" concocted and unveiled on national TV by Mrs. President William Jefferson Clinton. He holds a master's degree in Mineral Science and Technology (1973, Kyoto University) major in Exploration Geophysics. In his youth, he was a farmer, fisherman, stevedore, national scholar, university professor, journeyman laborer, freelance scribe, typesetter, proofreader, systems analyst, cab driver, executive consultant, etc., just to make a living. He is a lifelong believer that he has always been a little bit pregnant with brilliant ideas. He hopes that membership to the community of authors would facilitate their births or abortions thereof. This hope stems from a deep-seated conviction that his taste is cultured; his acumen has class, and with a little bit of luck, he has the inklings to be articulate with an annoying touch of verbosity. His avowed credo has been to have absolute faith in his doubts, and he believes in the inherent perfectibility of the imperfect, in an infinite universe which is both rational and knowable. It demands to nurture selective memory as an integral part of his farm boy upbringing to constantly endeavor to assimilate any feedback, to promote and enhance his chances at survival. So, with a song in your heart, you are enjoined to wish him the best of luck!
