Emyr Humphreys is a novelist, a poet, and a dramatist. He is a former BBC drama producer and is a recipient of the Somerset Maugham Award and the Hawthornden Prize. He is the author of Ghosts and Strangers, The Gift of a Daughter, Hear and Forgive, Old People Are a Problem, The Shop, and A Toy Epic.
