At a private, all-girls high school located in the northeastern part of the United States, as far away from a hostile environment as Pluto is from Earth, the Deans, the staff, and the students do, and are expected to, march to a different beat through the process of understanding the strength of the curriculum as well as the fragile weaknesses of themselves. Perhaps, those are interchangeable, too.

For one of the Deans of the school and for one of the students, a dream and a fear are found to be the same when they meet, co-exist in a challenging, poignant and often humorous struggle, and finally collide in an uplifting story of their search to find both at the swings at Balfour.
