The Story of a Plush Bear is a children's book written by Laura Lee Hope, and first published in 1920. The book follows the adventures of Teddy, a stuffed bear, as he is given as a gift to a young girl named Margie on her birthday. Margie loves Teddy and takes him everywhere she goes, but soon realizes that he is missing a nose. She becomes very upset and Teddy is taken to the doll hospital to be repaired. Along the way, Teddy meets other stuffed animals and makes new friends. Eventually, he is returned to Margie with a new nose and is happy to be back with his owner. The book teaches children about the importance of taking care of their belongings and the value of friendship.
