Kent D. Peterson is professor in the Department of Educational Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is founding director of the Vanderbilt Principals' Institute. He is author of The Leadership Paradox (Jossey-Bass, 1994) and with Terrence Deal coauthor of Shaping School Culture (Jossey-Bass, 1999). Terrence E. Deal is Irving R. Melbo Professor at the University of Southern California. He is author and coauthor of a number of bestselling books including Leading With Soul, Revised and Updated (Jossey-Bass, 2001), and Reframing Organizations: Artistry, Choice, and Leadership, Second Edition (Jossey-Bass, 1997 ).
