Autorenporträt
Paul Frisch is currently an Associate Attending in the Department of Medical Physics and the Chief of Biomedical Engineering at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He currently serves on technical committees and advisory boards including IEEE Counsel on RFID, ECRI Institute and serves as the Chief Technical Officer for the RFID in Healthcare Consortium and President of the Intelligent Health Association. Paul's responsibility focuses on the investigation of new and evolving technologies and developing their potential integration into clinical applications and operations to enhance patient outcomes, care, and safety. Current areas of investigation focus on clinical 3D imaging and printing, robotics, and medical device development. Previous experiences include research in electromagnetic field induced gene expression in targeted gene therapy, human biodynamics resulting from transitory acceleration, such as crash-impact and aircraft ejection and robotic applications in pharmaceutical development. Paul Frisch has a Doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering from the State University of New York at Binghamton and Masters and Bachelors degrees in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Harry P. Pappas is the Founder and CEO of Intelligent Health Association. Mr. Pappas is a serial entrepreneur and has never really worked in corporate America. He has been an 'out of the box thinker' all of his adult life. He has been directly involved in the technology space since a young age. He has 'hands-on' experience with a wide variety of software development project along with auto-ID, RFID, RTLS, and wireless devices. He has deployed new technologies and wireless projects across several industries including: healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical instruments, manufacturing, oil and gas, smart highway systems, retail, and mass transit. Harry has been constantly ahead of the technology curve. For examples, one of his many start-up firms was developing web sites in 1993 after meeting "Tim Burners Lee" at a conference at CERN, Tim is considered the father of the WWW. Pappas is an international recognized "Ubiquitous Sensing Networks"/"IoT" thought leader with RFID, RTLS, Sensors, and Wireless technologies. He has been presenting educational programs around the world since 2001. He has been helping many enterprises adopt new technologies to improve their bottom line. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of the RFID in Healthcare Consortium (RHCC). The RHCC is the only dedicated organization promoting the many benefits of RFID and RTLS technologies to improve patient care and safety and improve hospital operating efficiencies. Pappas is also the Founder and CEO of the Intelligent Health Association. The IHA is the only international, technology centric, vendor neutral organization solely dedicated to promoting the adoption of new technologies to the health eco-system. The IHA produces educational symposia, master classes, and workshops for the healthcare community that cover not only RFID/RTLS, NFC, and Wearables but many other new technologies such as BLE, MEMS, Sensors, 3-D printing, Lasers, Robotics, etc. The IHA provides educational programs and vendor neutral advice to the Healthcare, Assisted Living and Nursing Home Industries. The IHA is the producer of the very successful, "Intelligent Hospital Pavilion" and the very popular, "i-Home(TM)/Intelligent Medical Home" co-located at the annual HIMSS conference and trade show.
