Yvon Milien was born in Haiti and currently works as a teacher. He earned two bachelor's degrees and master's degrees in sociology from Brigham Young University, in international relations from Syracuse University, in public administration from Syracuse University, and in education from the City University of New York. He published a comic book "CACOS' in Haiti. Milien now lives in New York and New Jersey.
