But she is bored and unhappy and suddenly sees an opportunity to get out of her unhappy marriage and go back to her career. She also decides that Franklin is what she needs to make that happen.
Franklin is hesitant about getting involved with her again and fears losing his carefree lifestyle. Mary Lou, however, knows what she wants and goes after it.
