Autorenporträt
Marianne McMullan, from N. Lanarkshire, Scotland, prides herself in her work she does with children. Marianne, after many years travelling the world as a professional dancer, and instructing and choreographing dance for her own dance school, joined the education profession in 2009 and now specializes in teaching children with complex additional support needs. Marianne has always had a passion for learning and is constantly trying to find new and exciting ways to educate her students, motivating and empowering them to learn. Marianne has had many different careers in her life to date, and found that every career she embarked on brought new learning that she would link and transition into each project that followed. Marianne firmly believes it has been her diverse past, her many career choices and her drive to experience the world physically and culturally that has led her to write today. Marianne spent many months in Alaska in the 90's and fell in love with the natural and vast environment. Her love of Alaska inspired her to use her own experiences as the setting for The Porcupine and the Moon.
