From the Easter Devotional Series named one of Gary Thomas' top ten "Favorite Reads of 2022"

There's a gap in our lives. The world may prepare well for Christmas, but Easter is different. We rarely dedicate a long period of time to prepare for Easter.

The second book of Pastor Brad Goad's Easter Devotional trilogy fills that gap. The Morning He Was Tried journeys through the six illegal trials of Jesus on his way from the garden to the cross.

"Brad Goad is truly an outstanding servant, a gifted writer, a man of wisdom, integrity, dedication, and creativity. His study is thoughtful and researched, conversational yet poignant like the author himself. Because of his range of ministry, he has seen and experienced from many angles the human side of our inevitable trials. This comes across in his depiction of Jesus's trials. He infuses the scenarios with emotion and humanity, providing a wonderful on-ramp into the Easter season and preparing our hearts for the most Holy three days!"

- Dr. Ed Young, Senior Pastor, Second Baptist Church, Houston, Texas

Based on a live, three-week presentation to an adult ministry, the book study leads Christians through the Gospels and into each of the unjust trials, where religious leaders sought with increasing urgency to put an end to Jesus.

"Superb pacing. This devotional slows us down so that we grasp the gravity of each moment, person, and element involved in the illegal trials of Jesus-and the significance in the calling of our Savior."

- Scott Belin, Director of Digital Content, Hope Media Group

One trial after another showed the lengths those threatened by Jesus and His ministry would go to silence the One whom John the Baptist called the Lamb of God. As readers endure the six trials of Jesus, these pages prepare their hearts for the grandest celebration of all: the Light of the Resurrection.

Join the journey through six gripping trials to prepare for Easter.

"A must-read primer to the Easter story. As a follower of Christ for years, I never envisioned the degree of the assault against Christ before the crucifixion. Brad's compelling writing style will keep you engaged in the travesty of that morning. You'll leave with a personal reflection on your own endearment with Christ. You'll never again see the Easter story the same, which makes the glory of His resurrection even more magnificent."
