Joy is ours when we walk pleasing to the Lord. We please Him by believing in Him. "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Romans 15:13.

As we experience this joy we are given new strength. "For the joy of the LORD is your strength."

Nehemiah 8:10b.

With this strength we can do more work.

"This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent." John 6:29b.

The end result is we get to hear the Lord say; "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord." Matthew 25:23.

Our response to experiencing this joy is to rejoice. "Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory."

1 Peter 1:8b.
