Autorenporträt
Lara Foot has directed more than 40 productions, 23 of which have been new South African works. Her play Tshepang, a devastating portrayal of the phenomenon of infant rape in South Africa, won best new play of the year in 2003. In 2007, two of Lara's new plays were presented by the Baxter Theatre - Reach and Karoo Moose. These two plays acquired between them nine Fleur de Cap nominations, and Karoo Moose received eight Johannesburg Naledi awards. Her work has been translated into Swedish, Croatian, English, Afrikaans, Zulu and Xhosa.
