Debbie Vehnekamp is a retired elementary school librarian and current reading teacher. She is the mother of two grown daughters, Courtney who loves lemons and Ashley who does not. Debbie was born and raised in Mississippi, has lived in Texas and Alaska, and now lives in Louisiana with her husband, Billy, and her dog Stella. She loves to read books to and with children and feels extremely privileged to have been a part of so many children's reading lives over the years.
