The Dirty Turtles has been in the making for the last 15 years and has grown and changed along with me as I grew into the person I am today. I started TDT in 2005 in my junior year in high school, it was scattered all over homework and notebooks until 2006 when it was first published in a local college newspaper. It eventually turned into more than just silly one liner jokes into a story about a family with an alien issue. Going into the army and learning more about my life and learning how the world works, the story changed and grew with me into the first four books published. Friends and family members that have been on this long ride with me and now that the story is finally becoming a real story it has become more than what I expected it to be. I wouldn't be where I am today without the help of my amazing husband Bobby, he has been through every step of getting this book made and supporting me in every way possible, this wouldn't be a reality without him. I am hoping with my love of history and art that I can find someone in the world to enjoy the story and even learn a thing or two about American history and get a better understanding of our countries history and become fascinated with it like I did.
